FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you have a showroom where I can see or buy your work?

I do!  I really enjoy and encourage people to come for a tour of my studio space.  My gallery typically has a full selection of finished work available for purchase.  Several times a year I build up stock and have an open house. Please sign up for my newsletter to be the first to know about the open houses and events.

Do you take on commission work?

If it fits within my schedule and work flow, a commission piece is possible.  Commission work interferes with my sense of creative flow, so I keep it to a minimum.

Do you teach classes or workshops?

I have taught classes in the past, however I am now focussed on my own creativity.  If you are interested in learning, send me a message, and I’ll refer you to two local studios who do teach regularly.

What is your process of working with clay?

I love throwing on the pottery wheel.  My style is very loose and intuitive as I create small batches of work that I call ‘families’  – all similar but unique in their own way.  I mix my own food-safe glazes and fire my work to cone 5/6.

Are these pieces dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes they are.  For longevity, I strongly recommend  hand washing all items with soft materials and a mild soap or detergent.

Can I put your work in the oven?

I do not recommend using my pieces in an oven for cooking purposes, however you could place them in the oven for a very short time at low warming temperatures  (max. 175 Fahrenheit / 80 Celsius).
